pretty much exactly the same way you described. occassionally i just put them in tin-foil, with butter and lemon juice, lemon pepper and grill for a few minutes for something different.

we usually fry up some appetizers, by cubing the filets, dipping them in "shore lunch" beer batter, and deep frying.

i usually only catch walleyes, crappie, and perch. luckily all three of them are the best eating fish on the planet...............well in my book anyway! he he.

i also hooked an 8 pound northern that day, but i always let them go, as i do not care to eat them. although i have had some good pickled pike.
