Oh man, I hear ya! My ex's little spawn of satan was like that. She thought it was cute when he'd do that crap. I will tell you right now my kids will not act like that. They may not like me, but they WILL respect me. I hated my old man when I was kid because he didn't let me do what I wanted, but I knew better than to disobey him. I understand now why he layed down the law.
GD, I don't think anyone of age should have to wear a seatbelt or a helmet if they choose. If they want to risk it, go right on ahead, it your life. Kiddos should be strapped reguardless, IMHO. I know when my sister takes the kids she watches anywhere its like getting ready for a space shuttle launch.
