Rubicon, I ordered a pair of LaCross boots several years ago from Cabela's, I waited and waited, finally I called Cabela's and after a few minutes the lady came back and said we have here, that your boots were delivered 2 weeks ago. I informed them I hadn't received them,( my Mother lives about a quarter mile below me on the same road and she hadn't seen a delivery truck(UPS).)The lady informed me that they would ship out another pair the next day, so I would have them before hunting season,
Anyway I started to think about a cabin, about 3/4 miles from my house, no one lives there just a vacation cabin, I thought I'll check it out Lo and behold when I pulled up to the cabin a big Cabela's box was sitting on the front step, a little weathered but contents were okay.

Anyway, I called the lady back at Cabela's, and explained to her that I had located my order, which was supposingly left at my residence, which I informed her was wrong, and thank her for her help and that she could cancel the order for the second pair of boots, and gave her my work address to deliver any future orders. I always wondered, What if a dog had came by and dragged my order away or someone had came along and took it. I'm sure that the order was insured, but the driver would have said he had delivered it to my home. Which he hadn't . I would have gotten the 2nd pair of boots,and Cabela's would thought I was scamming them out of a second pair of boots . So now every UPS truck I pass, I look to see if there is a person/or a monkey driving !
