I owned one for a few years and must say that with the 45colt load and or the 2 1/2" 410 it just plain HURT!!! to fire, hard to hold onto unless you use the boot grip, patterns where useless with bird or buckshot.
I would opt for a newer "TI" S&W 22lr kit gun and or their 38spl version
