Im not appologizing either. Seems like a week never goes by without hearing this junk working in DC. Worked for a lady (said loosely) thursday that after I had completed my job and handed her the bill she said "The only way WE are going to get what we deserve is to have another riot" I really wanted to say what was on my mind but I make far too much money to jepordize my job by making a racist comment. Now if I was a little bit older I would have said what I thought- probably lost my job- retired to Florida- and spend my days hunting ducks-gators-wild hogs- and fishing. Now how bad could that possibly be? I do believe that slavery was wrong and fed by greed but after some reading have learned that there were white slaves here and that one of the key developers years ago in Annapolis Md was an escaped white slave. Also learned Lincoln was not necessarily anti slavery but just wanted it settled with the west becoming populated. What I dont quite understand is why was the 30 acres, as per the emancipation proclomation, always given close to the road?
