Nudist camp hugh? So the bear was just looking for other bares? He may be back. Back in the early 70's I volunteered time with the Wv DNR trapping, tagging and following black bear. We had one big male who kept breaking into the kitchen of the lodge at a local state park. He would go through the window and scrounge around for food. He was quite a surprise to the staff, hunkered down on the floor eating bacon when they would get to work of a morning. We caught him in a culvert trap, the state bear biologist tranquilized him, checked him over, and gave him an ear tag and transmitter collar. We named him WATERGATE. He was then taken 100 miles away and released in the national forest. He almost beat us back. That program back in the 70,s helped increase the bear population in the state and now the offspring have migrated into western Maryland and they now have a bear season. Sadly though, they now destroy a nuisance bear rather than relocate it.
