I've a naturalized Mexican hand ("worker") here. He calls me the "Gringa", "white boy", "old man" and "boss". I call him the "beaner, "Mexican backhoe", and "Muhado".
When we call each other those names, we are smiling. We respect each other.
The other day A white guy asked me why I wanted a job done a particular way? My beaner hand/friend looked at him and said "Because the old griga sign you check white boy." I love that beaner.
Oh BTW, did anybody know Louis Farican was once a Calipso singer? His stage persona was called "Calipso Louie"
