You're right, you don't need EAW mounts (tho they are great!), granted if all of us had a wad of cash burning holes in our pockets we'd have the greatest latest stuff. Have you already got the BBF or still looking? If you're still looking let me know, I occassionally run across some pretty good deals in my neck of the woods. The used ones almost always already have scopes on them, but you can sometimes work deals or have them keep the scope. In some cases, the scopes are 40+ years old and not worth much anyway.
