I haven't tried making my own....have a fair amount of 'bore butter' to work with.
But does anyone know of a lube that won't melt at summer temp weather? I tried using bore butter at the range during the summer (temps mid80's to mid90's) and the stuff just turns to liquid!
Makes it almost impossible to seal the chambers of my 1858 Remington without creating a super mess!
