I agree with you, the OLD guns are demanding a premium price these days for very good reasons-the old time quality is not being made today.
The M19 Smith is my favorite K-frame gun and I have the 2.5 inch, 4-inch and 6-inch that are among my favorites. I carried the 2.5-inch many days on duty.
