Yes, the Mouflon tastes like any wild sheep. It is milder than Mutton but you still taste the lanolin taste. I recommend NEVER sawing Sheep bones. Instead, bone all of it out. This will keep the gamey taste down to a minimum. Fallow is good and the Red Stag or Red Deer is excellent. I prefer it to Elk. As for Axis Deer, I find it to be the best Deer venison found anywhere on earth. The only venison that compares is Pronghorn Antelope and certain African Antelope.
