Not to screw up anything, but I've got a 4-16 on my .22-250. My brother had a 4-12 on his and replaced it with a 6-18. IF you're shooting groundhogs at the long edge of "normal" I'd suggest something with a little more top end. Not sure what your price range is, but Bushnell has a 6500 series that goes from 2.5-16X... Might be just the ticket. JMHO
