Went hunting 10/21 (first time on managed area this season; second time since season opened), and almost didn't make the draw because I almost missed the ferry due to a train.....then, I was drawn second to last.....ended up in a very poor area....then, I discovered a leak in my waders (right at crotch level!
)......and there was very little flying.
Only one duck came my way.........
....I was lucky to bag him; he ended up being a drake canvasback!
Yes, the duck gods can be fickle..............
