A few years ago I got my first Pre-64 Model 70 rifle in .30-06 with a Kollmorgan Scope. My rifle was made in 1939 and shoots my handloads very well. You are fortunate to have vaults full of pre-64s.
If I ever get another, I think I would like a .375 just to test the cement bonds on my plastic teeth! LOL.
