Elk Licenses Down?
We hunt the private landowners cows only season in Unit 211 every year in November. The rancher where we hunt said the number of tags available this year were way down from years past. There are always left over licenses available right up to the close of the season. Not this year! They were all gone! He didn't remember that ever happening.
The December late cow season issued only about 50 tags compared to a few hundred other years.
My question is: Is the overall elk herd down that bad in CO, or is it just this Unit?
