Adam, It has been some time since I looked at the NRA liability policy wording but at one time that policy was the gold standard for most clubs. It could be that the NRA has excluded coverage for loaded draw. If that be the case, it would cause most clubs to stop.

I have never actually seen a loaded draw injure a shooter, heard stories yes, but in 47 years of competition and running ranges, never actually seen it. Now on the other hand I have seen a loaded holstering of a live gun injure a person and that was a South American Champion at the FIPT. He capped himself when he holstered his gun with safety off and finger on the trigger. His three day world championship match lasted about 30 minutes, until time for him to holster after his first stage clearing house event.
