I agree with Skeet, the lyman slugs you are referring to get ok accuracy if loaded with correct wad, etc. A buddy of mine casts the Lee "key" slugs and they are MUCH more accurate through the cylinder choke in my 12 and his. However if you already have the lyman there isn't a thing wrong with them, the accuracy just isn't quite as good in my limited experience with them. I will say though that they hit like a sledge hammer when they hit a deer or a hog, as do the lee keyed slugs.
