I walk Nikki every day exactly 1/2 mile from the house 440 yards up to the hayfield and back. She is a very good watch dog and likes chasing rabbits, squirrels, etc. I feel safer with a dog around in this rural setting. There are many burglaries and home invasions reported each week in our weekly newspaper. I can hear "crickets in December" and Nikki has better hearing than I.
Nikki is our DEW LINE. You know, our Distant Early Warning device. LOL.
