Went to Kodiak Island, Alaska for Brown Bear. Got my trophy on the 5th day. Weighed approx. 1200lbs. and estimated to be 20yrs. old. Skull measured 281/2, a shoo-in for Boone and Crockett. Bear squared 9'-91/2". Rifle, .35 Whelen,on a 98 Mauser action w/a Shilen barrel.Hand loads were 250gr Speer.
