Elk 2009
Just when I was ready to throw in the towel, an ole rancher...customer of mine....told me today, to get a private land permit for area 51...west of Castle Rock...on his place next year. PL tags are good from Sep 1 through Jan 31.
Plus, this is 30 minutes from home. Think I'll give it a try! Dan

There have been some BIG elk taken out of this area! I have always made a point not to ask a friend/customer about land access.... this time, Billy offered and I graciously accepted.
Some hunt the properties and some don't...... Dan

I meant you were really lucky to get that invite... Hey let me know if you all need any help thinning out the elk over there. It's not far from where I live
 Actually, if all goes according to plan, I have a buddy coming out from the east next year to hunt our same area (SW of Steamboat Lake) in the 1st season. Hope you get a big one! Can't wait until next year! Mike
