Well I got out and started doing some trapping.

I use all live traps now due to hunting dogs in this area and I sure don't want to leg hold one of them.
I have about a dozen but the sad part is these nice big coons are only brining $6.00 this year.

Have you tried the DPs (dog proof) yet?
Very basicly they are a piece of pipe that the coon has to reach into.
They are becoming quite popular and cheaper than live traps.
Some guys are experimenting on home made DPs. I'm gonna be one of them.

Nope havn't tried those but the live traps don't owe me anything anymore so think I will stick with them.
