paper cartridges for cap & ball?

While surfing the net, I found some interesting videos on making paper cartridges for cap & ball revolvers......anyone out there ever try this? Seems pretty simple and straight forward, but I'm wondering what is being missed in a 2 minute video. Thought I might try making some up, just to give 'em a try. I heard that the cigarette paper leaves a lot of residue that needs to be removed with a brass brush....I'm wondering if using magicians flash paper would leave less residue. Any thoughts?
