CCW Holsters

This past week I had two students come by with handguns and holsters that made me cringe. The first was a plastic-type thing that took two hands to make a draw out of it. The other holster was a skeletonized thing that let the trigger fully exposed BEFORE a draw was made. I lent both students holsters for the class and both shot very well.

I suggest all carry holsters cover the pistol trigger while the handgun is holstered. When a draw is made, the trigger finger cannot enter the trigger guard until after the handgun is pointed down range. A good holster is expensive and will last a lifetime.
