				Whats with "Cable Restraint"?

I was wondering why your not allowed to use snares in MO. Unless you take a course in how to use them, plus buy a cable restraint permit in addition to a trapping permit (they cost $25). Do you have to do this in all states? Why don't they just call them a snare permit, it's the same thing right? The reason I brought this up is because snares are a lot cheaper, and for young trappers like me more affordable, but if I have to buy another permit. And I don't always hve time to take a course.

Stephen, while the cable restraint is a type of snare,it is a live catch--not a dispatch snare.

The reason you are required to attend a class,is so you know the legalities of the restraints, and how to use them properly. Also, dry land snaring is new to Mo.,so they want everyone to do it right. Tom Olson
