Stopped in to say 'Hey!'

Hi all...been a long time due to lots of different things so I'll just give you a quick rundown, not much time cause I've got lots and lots of stuff to do.

Last fall we bought a large parcel of land to build a camp. We were out there a few times during the winter to figure out where everything was going to go, and to just go for a sled ride.

In April I broke my leg in two places, had orthopedic surgery and spent 8 weeks flat on my back with my leg stuck up in the air. Drove hubby completely bonkers but then I figured it was fair cause I was going completely bonkers. lol

June I started gettin around more and was able to go out and help a bit out a the camp. Hubby's been fixin the 'road' in (actually the snow traveler's trail, then the goat path on our land) and cuttin wood for heating, and clearing et all.

This brings us to August. We've got the spot for the cabin almost cleared, some trees down and drying to build with, our camper is out there for a temp spot to stay while we work, we've moved lots of sand for our trails and such. The last two weeks we've stayed out there working on the beach, cuttin more trees, clearing more area for the cabin, starting to build and outhouse, etc etc etc...We came home yesterday and are headed back out Friday for a few more days, then every day off we're back at it. It's lots and lots of work but when it's done it's our own piece of heaven built from our own trees with our own hands.

Here's a tease...this is our bay at sunrise, from our dock. Lots of moose, deer, bear, waterfowl, large mouth, small mouth bass, northern pike, walleye...I could go on and on.
