Went to 2 Gun Shows this weekend

On Friday went to the Winchester collectors show in Cody Wy. Nothing much at the show I am usually interested in. Bunch of guys pay a lot of money(125 bucks a table) to show off a bunch of stuff they really don't want to sell..just an observation from lookin at prices..I did talk to Doug Turnbull about refinishing an old Ithaca Double..He ain't cheap but does gorgeous work.. Gonna cost me as much as 3500 bucks to redo it..but think it will be worth doing. Only thing I bought was a really nice older Redfield 4-12 rifle scope from when they made good stuff. and from another guy got 108 rounds of factory 222 Rem ammo. Actually he almost gave 'em to me.

On Saturday..went to the show in Bozeman Mt. I was surprised as the show was sold out to vendors didn't have the wall to wall customers that has been normal lately. Observations..Primers are coming on line again..more expensive.. Much Hogdon powder is still in short supply for the most part. Did pick up 5 lbs of HP-38 for 19.95 lb..I'll use a couple and a friend will use a couple..So I'll have another lb for backup. LOL. I bought quite a few moulds at the show..;9 from one fellow. Got a nice SAECO 45 255 gr gang mould on handles. Will cast a bunch for mommas Colt..and probably sell it. Al the others will go too one was a 357 hollow point mould and another was a 148 Hollow base wadcutter.. .357 of course Got two or 3 presses..nothing old. a really nice Rockchucker for a fair price and a Lyman turret press kit..new one..with all the bells and whistles.. Saw a bunch of Herter's boat anchor presses even cheap but didn't buy any of 'em. Too heavy to pack around or ship. Got dies bullet pullers case trimmers and even a new in box Co-Ax primer seating tool. Found what I have been lookin for in a Smith..a 4 inch 41 mag..for a fair price. Was in Mt though and had to have it sent to a dealer in Wy..Luckily I have a friends FFL license and should have it in a week or so. Bought the darn thing and had it shipped
