Bows

I recieved a bow from one of my friends it is a good bow its a PSE. The only bad thing is it only has a draw weight of 25-45 lbs is that a bad problem if i want to hunt deer. Does the draw weight matter with taking down an animal or does it only matter to your distance you can shoot? Thanks
