Installed a Rifle Basix trigger
Wanted to get my 222 a new trigger and since I had some Cabela's points decided to try an LV-1 manufactured by http://www.riflebasix.com/
Have never played with a rifle trigger before and was a little apprehensive due to the "safety" issue. Turns out it really wasn't that big of a deal. The process took about 25 minutes. It didn't help when I forgot how to put the bolt stop and safety back together. ![]() From the instructions sheet, Rifle Basix seems to assume that you have a photographic memory of how all the parts fit together. They could do a better job in the photo illustrations department for beginners like myself. The trigger is listed at being factory-set to break at 10-12oz and this one consistently breaks at 15oz via my Lyman digital gauge. http://www.midwayusa.com/rewriteaproduct/220725 After the install, I bump tested the rifle and shut the bolt quickly as if I was trying to get back on a groundhog after missing twice already (Btw, the bolt handle didn't fall off. ![]() Can't wait to get it to the range and it should help to improve accuracy. If this trigger works out, I'll be adding an LV-1 to my 22-250 and and an L-1 to the 308. Allen
