24F Savage stocks

Since I don't know how long I can stay in Germany before the DoD sends me back to CONUS, I don't want to splurge on an expensive combo gun. I am considering the SAVAGE Model 24F-12 Combo Rifle/Shotgun (.30-30/12ga).

But I do not like the plastic stock, nor the drop of heel. Boyds has stocks labled 24-Savage but I am afraid it is only for the older models, the little cool ones from the 50's & 60's and not the newer bigger ugly (but functional ) style.

Does anyone have a clue. Neither Savage or Boyds has an e-mail Q&A, and with time difference, and the shifts I work, I can't call except on weekends, when they don't take calls
