New to Trapping

Ok so I got all the water drained out of my duck holes. But the beavers did a number around our drain boxes. The boxes have removable plates on the front the a pipe at the bottom that runs under the levee to drain the water. Can't think of the actual name on the box. So my uncle that owns the land gave me his beaver traps, conibear. He showed me how to operate them. But my problem is where to set them up. I have had 2 out since Tuesday (3-16-10), haven't caught anything...yet.

Just looking for tips on trap placement. The 2 I put out were right on a trail and then one at a entry point/cave in the levee. You could see heavy traffic so it looked good to me. Thanks in advance for any help.
