Some guys like them. I'm hesitant to leave any camera in the woods, even with a chain and padlock. At least not around these parts. 

The cam does take removeable CF (compact flash) cards which you can then use a USB Lexar card reader to load the images onto your HD. Get a spare card and just swap them out when you check on the camera.
