feathers or vanes

First of all, thanks to all who responded to my post on arrows. I think I'm going to stick to aluminum. That is what I know.

Now, my question, vanes or feathers? I know feathers get crappy in wet weather and I want to go with vanes, but will they fly good?

Anybody remember dynavanes/? I think they were the ones with slits in them to prevent crosswind drag. Sorry, remembering out loud.
