drop down arrow rest???

I just started bow hunting last August and have found it to be a natural for me. I've placed first in shoots, shot a "Pope and Young" buck, and am waiting for more exciting opportunities to come my way. I'm confused though, I hear that a drop down arrow rest is quite and better to use than my whisker biscuit. Can anyone give some insight?
