Talking I finaly get to go hunting again!

After a year of absence, I now have a chance to hunt Whitetail again.

Last year my work hours were way too odd to even attempt it. Now I have more of a stable schedual (although, still not normal ).
So I went to Wally World to see if Florida would take my New York hunters safty corse document. To my suprise, I found out I could go a year withought needing any proof of taken any Hunters safty corse. Gota love Florida! Easy hunting regulations, and no bag limmit!
Now I just need to dope in my smoke pole, and find a spot where fifty other hunters are sharing the same acer .

I think I might even make some money magic happen where I can go home during Nov. to hunt.

Greg,

I am still working on getting us permission to hunt that bit of property south of Micanopy off 441. It is my understanding, that no one has hunted it in some time now.
When I get a final word, I will call you. Keep your fingers crossed.

Will do!

I know a Levy Co. Sheriff, whos a Sportsmen, his brother has land. Im going to try about there as well. Although, I hear (not sure) that the proporty is crawling with idiots .

I might be swiched to a 12 hour work day, wich might give me more of a flexable shedual, or more overtime. Ill lust for the OT, after hunting season.

I believe all 50 states will recognize a Hunter Education certificate from any other state. The Hunter Ed manual is basically the same for all the states now, from what I understand.

PJ,

What if I lost my NYS Hunter Education certificate itself, but have my old tags.
Do you think that will fly?

Greg,

One of my brothers lost his Maryland hunters safety certificate and the Maryland DNR was pretty quick about sending him another. I was impressed because we had taken the class about 20 years prior to my asking for another certificate. That was 5 years ago.

You should ask your home state DNR if they can give you a copy of the certificate.

grayghost,

I have found in Texas that since the state has stopped motor vehicles from being on public grounds that a look at a good map for areas that are too far for most people to walk comfortably will get you away from the crowds. Please wear hunters orange for safety out there with the public. Oh, a cheap folding aluminum dolly ,easy to pack in, works wonders for getting game out of the woods.
