Talking Daughter's first deer

This is my daughter's first deer. Her name is Jessica, she is 12 and she has been hunting fer 3 years now. Her patients finally paid off fer her. She harvested a nice 9 pt. that weighed around 180 lbs. I was actually shakin more than she was, well until after she made the shot. This buck came out in a small clearing and gave her a perfect broadside shot at about 30 yrds. Needless to say I am very happy fer her. She picks on me now because my biggest buck is a 6 pt. All the pickin she will do will be well worth being there with her.

Fantastic deer and story!
Don't feel bad Dad, I'm pretty sure she got a bigger deer than most hunters have

Congratulations on your deer Jessica.

You keep picking on your Dad. After all a nice deer gives your bragging rights.

Great story and great deer.

I am hoping that my daughter will want to hunt when she is old enough.

she might be giving you a hard time, but you know, I think you probably love it. That's awesome! Thanks for sharing such a neat experience.
