Favorite 'old timey' place to visit....

I've been to a lot of battle fields, forts, restored villiages, ect.

What is your favorite 'historical place of interest' to visit?

I love historic fort Michilamackinac (near Mackinaw City, MI)....used during the French and Indian & revolutionary war, and famous for being captured during Pontiac's conspiracy. The fort on Mackinaw Island is interesting as well.

I also find the Henry Ford museum in Detroit interesting as well.....lots of 'old timey' items, from cars to farm machinery to firearms, toys, trains, .......tons to see!

I also enjoy touring the battlefield at Gettysburg as well; I always seem to find something new when I go there.
