Someone told me I shouldn't cut the Thermacell down, because it DOES WORK here in the U.S.A., well, maybe I'm old fashion, I tell it like it is, if it doesn't work North of the border, they( Thermacell) should have said " works in the U.S. Woods ONLY!" then I wouldn't have had a bad experience up in Quebec. Last time I looked a mosiquto is a mosiquto (didn't work North of the Border)
biting insects, as advertized (Wouldn't black flies and No-See-Ums, classify as biting insects ?)

Anyway I put my faith in Deet, good headnet, and Duct tape !

I have used mine in both New Brunswick and Sak .. and it worked great... I set it up and after less then 5 min. I had no bugs of any kind around me..

It didn't work for me in Senneterre, Quebec, also have three other individuals who can testify to it's not working. The butane was working, the mat was heated , but the bugs(mosiqutos, black flies, no-see-ums) kept on coming. As I said , it didn't work while I was hunting, and later, to give it a fair shake, it didn't work for the 4 of us(our hunting party) sitting on a small porch, trying to have a drink, finally giving up and going inside. I got as much use out of it as teats on a boar hog !

It without a doubt worked for me in Kentucky. However, we don't have near the bug problem they do up north. I won't go in the woods without it.
