10/22 magazines

What is everybodies opinion of the clear RUGER brand 10 round 10/22 mags? Just curious. Around here I found one company I dont like doing buisness with that has black ruger branded mags for $16. Then a company I DO like doing buisness with ONLY has the clear ruger branded mags for $19 each.

I couldn't remember who had the gold plated 10/22, but I knew it was somebody from Canada. Here we have it.

Whatever you do, do not buy the Butler Creek mags. They suck, as do the Butler Creek barrels.

I haven't tried the clear magazines. I have four of the black ones- at least one dating back to 1968 or so- all still working fine.
I would be tempted to pay an extra buck or 2 for a clear one if I needed a new one- the idea of being able to see how many rounds were left in the magazine seems worth it.
If you get tempted to buy a non Ruger magazine- stop yourself.

Yep I bought a clear one from Ruger. Seems good and solid. We will see. I wouldn't even consider using a non-ruger mag in it. Heard WAY to many stories.

dyeing them looks interesting alright.
