Illinois takes a step forward!
As most of you know the supreme court the other day ruled that chicago's 28 year gun ban was UNCONSTITUTIONAL.. and ruled to overturn it. Also, yes in the same year, Il changed the unlawfull use of firearms act to state that a firearm is considered cased in anything that snaps or zips shut. Meaning yes, now my smith is leagal in my glove compartment. This one most people missed! Two big steps for Il. gun owners this year!

remingtonboy,
Thanks for the Illinois Update. Let's hope they do not enact more gun laws like D.C. did AFTER the Heller Decision. Adam

mayor Dailey of chicago is already talking of any new law or ordinances he can come up with. so no doubt not meaning we will be cc in 30 days but at least we are crawling along. maybe at a snails pace but better than a step backwards right now

I seriously doubt it will change anything in Mass. Even if it did our SJC does as it pleases without reguard of the law.

I'll predict there will be a lot of lawsuits testing the various local gun laws, challenging that the laws don't meet the standards of the recent Supreme Court rulings.
Stay tuned.
