I Loaded up my powder horn with triple 7 before I went out and I had some fff still in it,, I got my new 1 in 66 twist for my Hawken 50 cal and the first 2 patches were just fine,, but then ALL the rest were burnt to a crisp,, So I was thinkin ,,,, could it be that the triple 7 was to hot ??? I am usin 100 gns. Tried 90 but didn't like the pattern as much and they were burnt also,,

Welcome to the Forum. I read your second post and understand you "put triple 7 in your powder hown that still contained some fff in it." I would not think mixing triple 7 and fff is a good ideal and it will make testing loads a crap shoot. When I test powders, I keep them separate to get better results. Maybe you need another test shoot keeping triple 7 separate. Hope this helps. Adam
