			Forgot the specs:

Adams & Bennett 24" .308 barrel Boyds JRS stock and BOLD trigger (also from Boyds) good trigger, I was pleasantly surprised with it. And a Vortex Diamondback 2-7x 35mm scope, another pleasant surprise. At the range, I only got to zero it on the 50 yard range, but a family emergency caused me to cut it short. But at 50 yards, with the last 3 of 12 shots to get it on paper was one hole you could cover with a penny. But I have to wait until July to finalize the zero at 100 yards.

Well. being the "sporters based on Mauser actions" freak that I am, all I can say is, "Well done."

![]() ![]() ![]() Almost all my sporters are bases on Mauser actions, either commercial or military. I have guns based on other type actions, bolt, lever and single shots but in the bolt action category, my Mausers rule. ![]() FWIW, the single shots are in a very close second place. ![]() Paul B. |

Jon, what's your impression on the Vortex? I keep hearing a lot of good stuff about them . . . eye relief ok? Anything lacking or will it suffice for a daytime hunting scope? Waidmannsheil, Dom. |

It is a very pleasant surprise. Very sharp and clear, it has a Bushnell style focus adjustment. My eyes can't look through the Leupold like they did before (middle age stinks). The adjustments are very precise. But with reticule selections, I would not use it in the Bundes Republik. They do have illuminated reticules, but I am not a fan of them. If the #1 post can't do it at night, I don't like it ![]() But when I win the Powerball, I will get the Zeiss 3-12x 56AO......but for now the Vortex will due quite nicely.

Very nice job indeed, and under a penny (.750) at 50 yards is very encouraging for the maiden trip to the range!!! Hey keep us posted!!! Take care and God bless..... cordell |
