Unhappy A fine way to start off the Deer Season...NOT!

After drawing Antelope and Mulie tags in WY, my friend and I applied for Illinois Deer tags (shotgun). As luck had it, we drew our tags; but not our first choice; our second choice which turned out to be a mistake (on our part, not the DNR). Seems we were supposed to apply for Green County. Instead we put Morgan County on the app's, and that's what we drew: Morgan! I know absolutely no one in Morgan county IL. I called the local Game Warden and he says with so many guides now in IL (over 400 if I heard correctly) just about everything is leased up with the exception of those lands who's family hunt themselves. And I thought I was on a roll There aren't any WMA or public hunting lands in Morgan county, so this one's not looking good. Maybe I can find a guide. Anyone know of reputable outfitter in Morgan county IL? Good hunting, grayghost

Het Greyghost,

PM me the 'deets" and I'll do some looking for ya. I'm admittedly not familiar with Morgan County but we'll see what we can dig up for you. That sucks about the permit locations but we'll try to get you dialed!
