Rain Rain!!!
Got finished up early this afternoon and with just a light rain and cool temps thought I'd climb a tree and give it a shot. Got everything ready to go and headed out. Got to within 60 yds of where I wanted to be and had a doe jump up and trot off. Hoping it would be a good sign. Wasn't though. Managed to see one coyote about an hour before it got dark. Along with two squirrels. It never flat out poured, but the rain did pick up a bit. Just a steady rain. I was ready to get to the truck. Would've stayed, but I couldn't see through my scope. I need to hit Greentops and get some flip up covers. Have to do that tomorrow. Anyways...

It's been a good season for rain that's for sure. The bucks sure are moving though as I was coming home from voting yesterday a descent buck was standing right in the middle of the road around 4, with that "I only have one thing on my mind" look in his face.
I'll probably take the next couple of mornings off since we only have 3 days left of archery. Now's the time, rain, sleet, snow or hail...the bucks are on the move!!!

Go when you can go. I try to go even if the weather isn't just right. Especially during the bow and ML seaon when they're rutting in various stages. After the rut I might not go if it's blowin like a hurricane or something like that, but not this time of year! Keep at em. You'll get one. I didn't have time to go on Saturday. Didn't bother me too much. It was 80 degrees and we were working on the hunt club. I had to pick a puppy up for my girlfriend so I did that and decided on the way home to watch a little bean field. Didn't even get out of the truck. Just pulled up next to an old abandoned tobacco barn where it had grown up. Just enough to conceal the truck. Wouldn't you know it 10 minutes later here come 4 does tipping out. It was a little after 5 so I just sat there and watched them 100yds away. Puppy dead asleep in my lap. 10 minutes later a little 8 pointer stepped out and I thought it was gonna get interesting. Nothing else came out though and I just headed on. Would've been quite the predicament had a nice one stepped out with the puppy in my lap asleep!
