300 Whisper etc
Rocky is of course right about better cartridges for deer etc. The 180 gr 30 cal bullet is a much better choice in the whisper for deer.. A little louder too. Barks just a bit. I've never been able to get the 30 Herrett to shoot very well out of my gun. But the 35 Remington shoots really good out of my Contender(14 inch). Actually better than I can hold a handgun. Never used a 7-30 Waters out of my contender but I'll bet it is a Jim Dandy
BTW...I have a 45-70 bbl for my Contender and it shoots really well...but about 5 shots and I've had enough...ok.ok...I'm a wimp..but that darn thing KICKS.. Can y'all spell the word FLINCH!!
