False Points?

i had a rather laxidaisical wirehair for a time. great temperament dog, but he would hunt like hell for 15 minutes. then he was walking at my side, if someone shot a bird 50 yards away, he would take off and retrieve it back to me. kind of funny, any how he would always do these false points, and i mean he looked purdy and still, and awesome,, but no bird, usually i think it was a little tweety bird or even mice. any how i gave him away and he is an indoor pet in a loving family. i guess in his case he got a little bored walking behind me and would occasionally point so i thought he knew what he was doing, so i would not get rid of him. well, he was wrong. kind of miss the lazy bast--- sometimes though!!


i should add that he would back like crazy too,,,everytime no matter what. if he saw a dog on point he would take off from my heels and go back like crazy. he would then retrieve the bird to me and walk on my heels. crazy.
