What happened to Rem ADL?

I have mostly had Remingtons for many years. The last two (280 and 300 Win Mag)I bought were the less expensive variety with the plastic stocks. They had rough bores. I used a bullet kit with impregnated lapping compound. Now the rifles work fine. They shoot under a minute of angle. Both are close to .5 minutes of angle with various hunting loads and they clean easily, even after quite a few shots.
