The "Texan" stock versions are harder to find. That's a good treasure.

When I was doing some gunsmithing for a little shop in MS back in the 70's we had one like that, in mint condition, traded in on a bolt gun. It sat in the rack for a year and the owner of the shop, during a slow time, offered it to me for $65.

I put a scope on it to see how accurate it was and suffice to say it exceeded my expectations. I dont care too much for scopes on handy lever guns so I took that off and mounted a Williams Foolproof receiver sight on it and kept it.

The .35 is a real sleeper....Frank Hamer always thought so and Bonnie and Clyde were impressed :-)
