I don't like posting negatively but if I were you I would leave things the way they are.

All my doings with the Military as far as the 2nd Amendment have been totally negative. The military and especially the Air force Security forces are totally ANTI GUN. Period. Only the police should be allowed to have firearms according to them or at least the ones I was forced to do business with.

When I lived on Base all my firearms had to be registered. No if's, ands, fors, nors, or butts. Second Amendment doesn't apply no Air Force bases. You are a suspected as a terrorist. What do you need guns for, we protect you. My Parents and Grand-parents heard that BS when they lived in Germany.

I would leave that firearm in Germany. Period. You can always pick up something here. If ya get in a pinch I'll loan ya some of mine. I'm covered from 17 thru 458 Win Mag. And duplicates in some of those calibers.

USAREUR is a Pain in the A$$. They always over engineer everything no doubt about that.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
