Welcome to the Forum. Great post and pictures; I like a story with a happy ending. There is a aura surrounding old hunting guns. Recently I bought a Model 1894 Rifle in .30/30 caliber with 24-inch octogonal barrel in Excellent condition. My rifle was made in 1919 and will see the PA deer woods this Fall. Adam
