I would guess that the .22-250 would be close to the new Savage in value with the extra ammo. I have a problem when I hear someone call a gun a bench gun and it has a Tasco scope on it. If your looking for a walk around gun forget it. If your want a gun that is for the bench or still hunting groundhogs it`s a fine gun. I picked up a .22-250 built on a 98 Mauser action in a Maple stock, weight 16 1/2 lbs. It was floor plated and had a Canger single set triger, I bought it for $ 200 from a guy that just wanted to get rid of it. The stock is worth more than $ 200 alone, but getting your money out of a custom gun is hard to do.
